Edmonton, AB - It was a monster night for the monsterous Griffin Reinhart as the big defenseman tallied both Oil Kings goals as Edmonton posted a 2-1 win over the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors on Wednesday night at Rexall Place. The game began with a scoreless first period in which the Oil Kings out shot the Warriors 18-5 but couldn't beat Moose Jaw goaltender Luke Siemens. Moose Jaw continued to hang around in the second before finally they tallied with a little less than four minutes gone to take a 1-0 lead. A mid period power play would give the Oil Kings the opportunity they were looking for as Reinhart took full advantage and blasted a rocket past the Moose Jaw netminder to give him his first goal of the season.

After a rough second period the third continued to be tough as both teams were heavily penalized down the stretch. Finally, it was Reinhart who would prove to the hero of the day as the 2012 1st round NHL draft prospect let another blast go from the point to notch his second of the evening with just 1:32 remaining in the game. Reinhart, a 6'4, 208 pounder from West Vancouver has been touted as one of the top prospects in the upcoming NHL draft.

The Oil Kings dominated play most of the night outshooting the Warriors 42-18 en route to the victory. Laurent Brossoit was solid when called upon and recorded another win to move his record to 7-3-1-0. His seven wins move him into a three way tie for the league lead.

The win puts the Oil Kings back on the winning track as their record moves to 7-3-1-1 on the year, good enough for a three way tie with 16 points atop the Central Division.

Next up for the Oil Kings a match up this Friday against the Portland Winter Hawks! Bring your appetite because it's "Friday Food Frenzy" at Rexall Place in which all food concessions will be on sale for 50% off!

The highly touted Portland Winter Hawks are currently middle of the pack in the Western Conference but have a talented lineup boasting a bevy of NHL Draft picks including two 2011 NHL first rounders - Sven Bartchi (13th overall - CGY) and Joe Morrow (23rd overall - PIT) and 2010 first round pick Nino Niederreiter (4th overall - NYI)
