Edmonton, AB - The Oil Kings will look to avenge a loss last night in Edmonton as they take on the Rebels TONIGHT in Red Deer. Tonight's game will mark the third of six games between these two clubs this season. Thus far, the Oil Kings have posted a 1-1-0-0 record against the Rebs. After meeting six times in the 2011-12 Regular Season - the Oil Kings won the season series over the Rebels with a 4-2-0-0 record. These teams met twice during the pre-season resulting in a 2-0-0-0 record for the Oil Kings. Edmonton took a 5-3 win at the Oil Kings pre-season invitational in St.Albert and a 2-1 OT win in Lacombe.
Oil Kings forward Michael St.Croix leads the Oil Kings scoring race with 46 points (20G, 26A) – this is tied for 8th in WHL scoring. St.Croix posted the second four goal game in modern franchise history on December 16th in Edmonton as the Oil Kings took an 8-1 win over the Regina Pats. St.Croix has 111 goals and 163 assists in his Oil Kings career (both Oil Kings career records)
St.Croix's linemate Dylan Wruck has scored 11 goals and 33 assists in 32 games this season and is tied for 11th in WHL scoring. If you include Phoenix Coyotes 2012 1st round draft pick Henrik Samuelsson (who is third in team scoring with 40 points (18G, 22A) and second on the team with 18 goals) the Oil Kings enter tonight's game with three players in the Top 20 of the WHL scoring race. Only two other teams, the Kamloops Blazers and Portland WinterHawks can boast the same.
Edmonton has the best power play (28.4%) and the best penalty kill (91.2%) in the league. Michael St.Croix leads the team with 13 power-play goals (1st in the WHL) while Dylan Wruck is 1st in the WHL with 21 power-play assists.
Game time tonight from the ENMAX Centrium in Red Deer is set for 7:30 p.m. All games this season will be broadcast live on the TEAM 1260 and streamed live at WHL.ca.

Season Seat Holders are reminded that the Never Waste A Ticket program has changed. There is only 1 game remaining in the first segment of the season!
