GAME DAY: Oil Kings Invade Tiger Territory Tonight!

Medicine Hat, AB - The Oil Kings have departed for a five game road trip which kicks off tonight against some old Central division rivals - the Medicine Hat Tigers.  This game will be the sixth and final regular season meeting between these two clubs in 2012-13.  The Oil Kings have a 4-1-0-0 record against the Tigers this season with their last meeting on January 18th resulting in the Oil Kings only loss. Edmonton posted a 4-1-0-1 record over the Tabbies last season and have an overall record of 11-13-0-5 against Medicine Hat over the last five seasons.  

The Oil Kings enter tonight's game on a seven game winning streak and will be looking to tally their second win in the last 24 hours. Edmonton notched a 3-0 victory over the visiting Swift Current Broncos last night in the Oil Kings second ever Pink at The Rink event. The team has extended their lead to nine points over the second place Calgary Hitmen for top spot in the Eastern Conference. Birthday boy Curtis Lazar wll look to have another strong showing against the Tabbies tonight. Lazar leads all Oil Kings with five goals and six points vs the Tigers this season.

Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. MST from Medicine Hat. Following tonight's game Edmonton will play a four game set in the East division with stops in Prince Albert, Regina, Brandon and Swift Current.  All games this season will be broadcast live on the TEAM 1260 and streamed live at WHL.ca.
