Edmonton, AB - After three games on the road the defending WHL Champions make their return to Rexall Place tonight as they play host to the Medicine Hat Tigers. The Oil Kings will give away 500 Mitch Moroz T-Shirts! All fans at the game will be eligible to receive a shirt, since scratch-and-win tickets will be used to determine the winners.
Tonight's game is the fifth of six games between these two clubs this season. The Oil Kings have a 4-0-0-0 record against the Tigers and took a 3-0 win in Medicine Hat in their last meeting. Last season the Oil Kings posted a 4-1-0-1 record against the Tabbies - It was the Oil Kings first winning record against Medicine Hat. In the last 5 seasons Edmonton has a 11-12-0-5 record against the Tigers.
T.J. Foster and Dylan Wruck co-lead the Oil Kings with 50 points in 2012-13. Foster is the Oil Kings modern era all-time leader in career WHL games played with 315 and has 232 pts in his WHL career. Before being sidelined during the Oil Kings playoff run Wruck finished the ‘11-12 regular season second in team scoring with 21 goals and 59 assists for 80 points in 66 games. This season, Wruck has scored 13 goals and 37 assists in 41 games this season.
