Edmonton, AB - The Oil Kings will make their return to the City of Champions tonight as they play host to the Brandon Wheat Kings. It's Championship Hat Night at Rexall place as the Oil Kings dish out 1000 replica WHL Championship hats! Tonight's game is the second of four games between these two clubs this season. The Oil Kings have a 1-0-0-0 record against the Wheaties this season with a 6-2 win in Edmonton on December 31, 2012. Edmonton posted a 3-1-0-0 record over the Wheat Kings last season and have an overall record of 3-5-0-0 over the last five seasons.
T.J. Foster is leading the Oil Kings scoring race with 55 points in 2012-13. He has five points in his last three games and has vaulted himself to 20th in the WHL scoring race. Foster is the Oil Kings all-time leader in career WHL games played with 318 and has totaled 237 points over that span.
Phoenix Coyotes 2012 first round draft pick Henrik Samuelsson is tied for second in team scoring with 54 points and leads the team with 25 goals. The native of Scottsdale, AZ has three goals and two assists in his last three games and his 25 goals rank him 16th in the WHL. In his first 77 WHL games Samuelsson has averaged a point per game with 32 goals and 45 assists.
