Edmonton, AB - Following a 3-2-0-0 pre-season the Edmonton Oil Kings are ready to start playing for points. This Thursday, September 20th at 7:00 p.m. the Oil Kings will begin defense of their 2012 WHL Championship against the Kootenay Ice on Banner Raising Opening Night at Rexall Place. Fans can be a part of history as the Oil Kings raise their first WHL Championship banner of the modern era to the rafters of Rexall Place. The first 7500 fans at the game will receive a commemorative replica WHL Championship Mini Banner!
