Edmonton, AB - It was a spectacular return for Stephane Legault as he tallied a pair of power play goals to lead the Oil Kings to a 2-1 win over the Swift Current Broncos on Tuesday. The win improved the Kings record to 14-5-2-2 on the year as they trail Calgary by one point for top spot in the Eastern Conference.

Legault opened the scoring in a lopsided first period as he deflected a shot from Dylan Wruck to post his first goal of the season. The gritty forward was playing his first game back since injuring his foot on October 7th against the Hitmen.

Legault added his second of the night as he picked up a rebound off a shot by Curtis Lazar. Lazar's shot from the slot was kicked out by Bronco's goalie Eetu Laurikainen before Legault gathered it and roofed his second power play goal of the game. The reignited Oil Kings power play was 2 for 4 on the night.

The Broncos would break the shut out with under three minutes to play in the second on an odd goal by Zac Mackay. Mackay was able to sneak a puck in from behind the net as he bounced a puck off Laurent Brossout and in. Edmonton would hold on to carry a 2-1 lead into the third.

Swift Current came out pushing for an equalizer before the Kings killed a key power play midway through the final period to stop the Bronco's momentum. The Kings penalty kill remained the best in the WHL with a perfect 5 for 5 performance. Edmonton has not allowed a power play goal in eight straight games.
