Medicine Hat, AB - The Oil Kings will try for their third win in as many nights tonight in Medicine Hat as they take on the Tigers. Tonight’s game is the fourth of six meetings between the Oil Kings and Tigers this season. Thus far in 2012-13 the Oil Kings have posted a record of 3-0-0-0 vs the Tigers.

With a 4-2 win on October 10th in Medicine Hat and a 4-2 win on October 20th in Edmonton. Their last match up resulted in a 2-1 overtime win for the Oil Kings in Edmonton on November 24th. On that night Keegan Lowe took a perfect feed from Michael St. Croix and notched the OT winner with 1 second remaining in the overtime period. The Oil Kings have a 10-12-0-5 record against the Tigers in the last five seasons.

Edmonton has the best power play and the best penalty kill in the league. Michael St.Croix leads the WHL with 14 power-play goals while Dylan Wruck is first in the WHL with 24 power-play assists. Edmonton remains one of the most defensively sound clubs in the WHL having allowed the least number of goals in the Eastern Conference. The Oil Kings have only allowed three goals against in their last five games and have held the opposition to two or fewer in 27 of their 43 games this season.

Puck drop is 6:00 p.m. MST. All games this season will be broadcast live on the TEAM 1260 and streamed live at WHL.ca.
