Oil Kings Set For Rodeo Trip

Edmonton, AB - The defending WHL Champions will begin the month of November with their annual rodeo trip as the CFR takes over Rexall Place. Following a successful five-game homestand the Oil Kings will now embark on a six game road trip starting with a pair of East Division opponents this weekend.
The Oil Kings will take on the Prince Albert Raiders and the Swift Current Broncos this weekend before making the long trek out to B.C. The Kings will then play four games in five nights as they visit Kamloops and Kelowna before wrapping up with back to back games in Prince George on November 9th & 10th.
This weekend will mark the first games in an Oil Kings jersey for the club's newest acquisition David Musil. Musil is an Oilers 2nd round draft pick acquired from the Vancouver Giants on Wednesday in exchange for a 1st round WHL Bantam draft pick and defenseman Mason Geertsen.
In their only meeting of the 2012-13 season the Oil Kings dropped a 4-1 decision to the Raiders on October 4th in Edmonton. Last season, the Oil Kings posted a perfect record of 4-0-0-0 against the Raiders. In the past five seasons the Oil Kings hold and impressive 12-2-1-2 record over P.A. with a 6-1-1-1 record at Rexall Place and a 6-1-0-1 record at the Art Hauser Centre in Prince Albert. The Oil Kings trail the Raiders by one point in the race for top spot in the WHL Eastern Conference.

The Oil Kings will return to Rexall Place on November 17th as they play host to Mark McNeill and the Prince Albert Raiders. Puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m.
