Edmonton, AB - Goaltender Tristan Jarry set a new Oil Kings club record with his fourth shutout of the season in a 4-0 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Friday. Mitch Moroz, Curtis Lazar, Dylan Wruck and newcomer Trevor Cheek tallied for the Oil Kings as they out shot the Hurricanes 46-23 on the night.

With less than four minutes remaining in the first Moroz tipped home a point shot from fellow Oilers draft pick David Musil to open the scoring. It was the third time in the last five games that Moroz has notched the game's opening goal.

Just 42 seconds into the second period and the Oil Kings extended their lead to 2-0. Travis Ewanyk out worked his defender to put a shot on net and Lazar tapped in the rebound for his 16th of the season. Later in the period Cheek notched his first goal in an Oil Kings jersey with a one timer from the slot off a great feed from Keegan Lowe. Lowe would finish his night with a pair of assists and a big tilt with the Canes newly acquired heavyweight Mike Simpson.

Wruck put the game away in the third with a wicked wrist shot from the top of the slot over the shoulder of Lethbridge goaltender Ty Rimmer. Wruck's 13th goal of the year was his 50th point as he takes over top spot in the Oil Kings scoring race. The 20 year old from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan leads the team with 37 helpers and his WHL best 24 power play assists.

Jarry's 23 save performance lifted his record to 11-4-0-0 with a 1.68 GAA and a 0.934 save percentage. He posted back to back shutouts for the first time in his career and is set to depart this Sunday along with Lazar for the 2013 Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects game in Halifax, Nova Scotia. With the win the Oil Kings remain three points back of the Hitmen for first in the Eastern Conference with two games in hand. Edmonton was ranked 7th in the BMO Mastercard CHL Top Ten this past week.
