Oil Kings Assistant GM & Director of Player Personnel Randy Hansch:
"Curtis has very good leadership abilities on and off the ice. He was awarded the B.C. Minor Hockey Player of the Year Award for 2010. He's a character kid that comes to play every night and competes in all areas of the ice. He's an honest two-way player that can contribute with a high level of skill along with doing this at a high tempo. Curtis is an exciting player to watch and to continue to build our team around."

Oil Kings Assistant GM & Director of Player Personnel Randy Hansch:
"In the the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft, we were able to acquire another first-round pick, the 18th overall selection. With that pick, we were very happy to select Mason Geertsen. Mason is a good-sized, two-way defenceman that brings a high level of energy and compete to his game. Mason is an excellent skater for his youth and size, along with his quiet ability to advance the puck up the ice. He shows good character on and off the ice. Last year, Mason was the captain of his bantam team in Leduc and is presently an assistant captain with his midget AAA team in Sherwood Park, despite being a first-year player. Mason was recently named to U-16 Team Alberta that will compete in the Canada Winter Games. We would like to congratulate him and wish him the best of luck."

Oil Kings Assistant GM & Director of Player Personnel Randy Hansch:
"Tristan plays an honest two-way game with a good skill level, and he can contribute offensively. He also has a competitive edge to his game where he can become a bit of an agitator and get under the opponent's skin. A product of the Edmonton Minor Hockey Association, Tristan recently played for the North Division All-Star Team at the Alberta Midget AAA Hockey League All-Star Game, where he recorded a goal and an assist in a 5-4 loss to the South Division all-stars. Playing for the Maple Leafs, he's one of the top scorers in the AMHL."
