     POND HOCKEY PRESENTED BY ENMAX

The Edmonton Oil Kings will join ENMAX Energy in taking hockey back to its roots this winter. Pond Hockey by ENMAX Energy takes the greatest game on ice back outdoors for an afternoon of action at a local outdoor rink. The Edmonton Oil Kings will be on hand to put the kids through skills drills, a scrimmage game and a shootout. There will be plenty of prizes and entertainment along with a ton of smiles and laughter. Louie, the Oil Kings mascot, will be on site and the players will sign autographs after the event.

ENMAX Pond hockey is in its 11th year of operation and more than 3,700 kids from across the province have participated in that time. This year, the program expects to reach over 1,000 young hockey stars.

ENMAX Energy relies on its strong relationships with junior hockey teams and communities to make these memorable events happen. Players from the Edmonton Oil Kings will make three special appearances in the community during the 2009/2010 season.
